TRAINING in Ninjutsu develops abilities to achieve a level of awareness and control unlike one learns in
the modern arts one commonly sees, to be where one needs to be to evade
or to make an attack.
UNARMED COMBAT Ninjutsu techniques are unique. "Quiet"
movements of walking, rolling, and falling are found nowhere else. Whole body movements are essential - understanding that size, strength
or quickness do not determine the outcome of a physical conflict. This strategy
of movement and working within the gaps do determine the outcome.
MEDITATIONS may be explored through Tendai Mikkyo but are not required. (see
Tendai link within this website) One must know how to calm the self
when in a high stress situation in order to have the "awareness"
necessary to succeed in the conflict.
