FIGHT
and SURVIVE in high risk, high stress environments using the Martial Art
of Jujutsu!
JUJUTSU
is a term used by Japanese military historians to describe combat arts
that were practiced primarily by the samurai. In the 17th and 18th centuries
there were some 750 styles of Jujutsu. Today there may be half a dozen
of the old combat styles (called "ko-ryu")
still actively taught.
JUJUTSU
requires those who approach life with seriousness and purposefulness.
It is not for those who are afraid to confront themselves or others. It
is for those who possess discipline and patience.
It is critical that
the prospective student understand that what is taught at Ryushinkan focuses
on survival, efficiency in movement, practicality, and universal applications
in all circumstances and is purely combat-oriented. There can be no sport
applications in a situation where life and death is the prize or trophy
of victory. Any technique or method that increases the probability of
survival must be the primary objective.
Warrior spirit and
skills are taught and verified within Ryushinkan as well as "on the
streets." Time will not determine progress. Only skill and understanding
of the art determine the level of progression towards black belt where
one has established 100 percent accountability for oneself.
After black belt mastery
of the Art is the destination within one's studies.
